"A People's Guide to Maricopa County" is a collaborative class project undertaken by Arizona State University students in Professor Wendy Cheng's course, "Race, Space, and the Production of Inequality" (Fall 2010, Spring 2011, and Fall 2011). Taking inspiration from the book project A People's Guide to Los Angeles (Pulido, Barraclough, and Cheng; forthcoming from UC Press in April 2012) students researched, visited, and photographed sites in Maricopa County, Arizona that illustrate the workings of racism, power, and inequality in the landscape.
